Imole Campaign Council alleges a plot to pressure INEC into announcing Osun election results before vote counting and collation are completed.
The Imole Campaign Council has raised concerns over an alleged plan to pressure the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) into announcing the final results of the 2026 Osun State governorship election before the completion of vote counting at polling units across the state.
In a statement issued in Osogbo on Saturday, August 15, 2026, the campaign council alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was behind the reported move, describing it as an attempt to interfere with the electoral process and undermine the will of Osun voters.
The council urged INEC to resist any pressure and ensure that all results are properly counted and collated in line with due process.
The campaign council also called on Nigerians and members of the international community to closely monitor the collation and announcement of results, insisting that the electoral process must be allowed to run its full course.
It further expressed confidence in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s chances of securing re-election, citing what it described as strong voter turnout and widespread support for the governor during Saturday’s election.

“The Imole Campaign Council alerts the whole world to a grand plot by the All Progressives Congress to pressurise the Independent National Electoral Commission to hurriedly announce final election results whilst counting of votes at polling unit level is still ongoing.
“This satanic act of desperation must not happen. We call on all lovers of democracy at home and abroad to monitor the election process to the very end and stop electoral saboteurs and anti-democratic buccaneers from rigging this election and devouring the democratic will of the people of Osun State.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission must reject this demonic agenda and uphold electoral integrity, fairness and democratic values. Due process must be followed.
“The Imole Campaign Council notes that Saturday’s election has shown that Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is popular among the good people of Osun State.
“With the impressive turnout of voters for Governor Adeleke, the Imole Campaign Council is confident that Governor Adeleke will be re-elected.”
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the uploading of polling unit results from the Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV), as the process of collating the results continues across the state.
As of 7pm on Saturday, checks by SwiftReportNow showed that a total of 2,748 polling unit results had been submitted to the IReV portal out of the 3,763 results expected from polling units across the state.
The ongoing upload provides voters, political parties, observers and other stakeholders with access to results submitted from individual polling units, while the official collation and declaration of the final election results remain the responsibility of INEC.
