A Russian woman has been jailed for five years after a revenge attack on her husband left him permanently injured following suspicions of infidelity.

The case, which concluded in July 2026, stemmed from a violent domestic dispute that authorities said escalated after the woman became convinced her husband had been unfaithful.
Court proceedings revealed that the attack left the 41-year-old man with life-changing injuries despite emergency efforts by medical personnel to save him.
According to reports from Russia, the 39-year-old woman discovered a message on her husband’s mobile phone from another woman.
The text reportedly described an explicit romantic fantasy involving the married man. Although investigators did not establish that the message proved an affair had taken place, the discovery allegedly triggered intense jealousy and anger.
Instead of immediately confronting her husband over what she had found, the woman allegedly spent time planning how to take revenge.
Medical expert Dr. Artur Valvachev, who later commented on the incident, claimed the woman even modified her teeth beforehand by filing them to make them sharper, believing it would make her planned attack more effective.
On the night of the incident, everything appeared normal. The woman reportedly prepared dinner for her husband, and the couple spent the evening eating and drinking alcohol together. Nothing suggested that a violent confrontation was about to occur.
After the meal, they went to their bedroom, where the woman reportedly initiated an intimate encounter.
Authorities said the situation suddenly turned horrific when she allegedly bit off her husband’s penis during oral sex.
According to Dr. Valvachev, the woman immediately spat out the severed organ and allegedly blamed her husband for what had happened, telling him he would no longer be able to be intimate with anyone else.
The attack caused catastrophic injuries. The husband reportedly collapsed after suffering severe blood loss and briefly lost consciousness due to hypovolemic shock, a dangerous medical condition caused by rapid loss of blood volume.
When he regained consciousness, he realized he was bleeding heavily and urgently needed medical assistance.
Despite being in extreme pain, the victim reportedly remained calm enough to preserve the severed organ.
Reports said he placed it inside a glass containing saline solution before calling emergency medical services in the hope that surgeons might be able to reattach it successfully.

According to the doctor, the only realistic long-term treatment available is the implantation of a penile prosthesis with an internal pump mechanism designed to restore some level of sexual function.
